Notes

The deepest open river record Hydrionis holds. It is unusual in two ways that matter: the record reaches back to 1851 — deeper than anything Hydrionis holds outside the English and Met Office series — and SMHI publishes discharge already aggregated to daily and monthly, so Hydrionis would store the publisher’s own aggregate rather than computing one from sub-hourly readings and having to defend the method. Ingested in Sprint 6, stored one partition per main drainage basin: the whole daily archive is roughly 200 MB, which in a single file would be eight times the largest partition held, and a basin is the unit a river profile actually asks for.
